Twine Barn Sanctuary's mission is to provide care, comfort & compassion to animals in need through education, advocacy and services. 

In January 2019, Twine Barn Sanctuary’s Founder and President, Crystal Coan, began fostering horses from Peaceful Ridge Rescue. After a few months of relationship building and natural horsemanship training they were helping her teach children the value of breath, mindfulness and connection in her yoga-infused riding program. She began receiving calls about various animals that needed rescuing, rehabilitation, new homes or a new purpose. This would lead to a life long dream coming true: Twine Barn Sanctuary, a place where animals in need can heal, thrive and teach humans the power of compassion and connection.

Whether we’re teaching a class(room) about various animals through one of our educational programs or delivering a message of love and compassion for animals in need through social and traditional media campaigns, we believe that education is a key component to initiating change.

When you visit Twine Barn Sanctuary, you’ll know right away that it's a special place. You’ll meet our animal residents along with staff/volunteers who also find refuge and sanctuary by being there. Each animal is given the freedom and attention needed not only to recover, but to thrive. It’s with the generosity and love from our community that we can continue to do so.
